What We Expect From Female Instructors

Our female teachers are the heart of AshShakur. They bring scholarship, warmth, and a deep commitment to nurturing every learner they guide.

  • Mandatory

    Ijazah or Equivalent Certification

    Our female instructors must hold an authentic Ijazah in Quran recitation or an equivalent qualification from a recognised Islamic institution, verified by our scholarly panel.

    Enhanced Background Check

    An enhanced DBS check and reference verification are completed before any teacher joins, ensuring every sister and child is taught in a safe, trusted environment.

    Child-Safe & Sister-Focused Training

    All female teachers complete our bespoke child-safe teaching certification and sister-focused pedagogy training before their first student session.

  • Evaluated

    Patience & Empathy Assessment

    We evaluate emotional intelligence, patience under pressure, and the ability to inspire confidence in shy or anxious learners. These are qualities essential for female-led Quran education.

  • Assessed

    Subject Expertise Beyond Recitation

    Female instructors are expected to hold competency in at least one additional subject: Tafseer, Noorani Qaida, Hifz, or Quranic Arabic. This broadens what they can offer every student.

  • Monitored

    Communication & Professionalism

    Clear parent communication, punctual sessions, and consistent professional conduct are monitored through a 90-day probation period with structured feedback from families.
