Our Standards

What We Expect From Male Instructors

Every teacher who joins AshShakur passes a rigorous multi-stage vetting process. We do not compromise on quality, character, or credentials.

  • Mandatory

    Ijazah Certification

    Every male instructor holds a valid Ijazah: an unbroken chain of transmission (sanad) from teacher to teacher back to the Prophet ﷺ. We verify each certificate before any class begins.

  • Mandatory

    Background Verification

    A thorough DBS / criminal background check is completed for every teacher. Your family's safety is non-negotiable, with no exceptions.

  • Required

    Minimum 3 Years Online Teaching

    We require at least 3 years of proven online Quran teaching experience. Applicants must provide verifiable references and a live teaching demonstration.

  • Evaluated

    Tajweed Mastery

    Male teachers must demonstrate near-perfect Tajweed recitation across all makhaarij and sifaat. A panel of senior scholars conducts the recitation evaluation.

  • Assessed

    Pedagogical Skills Assessment

    Our academic team evaluates each candidate's ability to explain complex Tajweed rules in simple language, adapt to different learner levels, and deliver structured lesson plans.

  • Monitored

    Reliability & Professionalism

    Punctuality, consistent communication, and professional conduct are assessed through a 90-day probationary period with regular student feedback reviews.
